HELP THE AGED
GARDEN FAIR AT PYTHOUSE
Gardening
enthusiasts will have the opportunity to buy plants from over 20 specialist
nurseries and to explore the private grounds of Pythouse,
near Semley, on Saturday 22 May, from 10 am to 4pm. Entrance, in aid of Help the Aged Dorset, is
£2 (children free).
Light
refreshments will be available throughout the day and, thanks to the St Mary
Gillingham Scout Group, there will be a range of children’s activities,
including arts and crafts workshops, a teddy bears’ picnic and a treasure hunt.
Mike
Nixon, chairman of Help the Aged Dorset, said: ‘Gardeners may remember our plant sales at Pythouse
of a few years ago. This year we have even more stands, as well as plenty of
things to keep the children amused, and I am grateful to Mr
and Mrs Murray for welcoming us again.’
Pythouse (SP3 6PA)
is off the A350, 7 miles north of Shaftesbury and 3
miles from Tisbury (signs at main junctions).
